3. What the Bike Fitting Service Includes
- At Arvada Triathlon Company, our bike fitting service is designed specifically for triathletes, cyclists, and multi-sport athletes to optimize bike setup for comfort, power output, efficiency, and injury prevention.
- The session typically includes an in-depth interview, physical assessment (flexibility, range of motion, asymmetries), on-bike analysis (using tools like motion capture or laser alignment as applicable), precise adjustments to key contact points (saddle height/fore-aft, cleat position, handlebar/aerobar reach and stack, etc.), and personalized recommendations tailored to your riding style, goals (e.g., triathlon distances, time trials), and any discomfort or performance issues.
- Results vary based on individual factors such as flexibility, injury history, training volume, bike condition, and adaptation time. We do not guarantee specific outcomes (e.g., complete elimination of pain or guaranteed performance gains), as bike fitting is not a medical treatment.
4. Client Responsibilities
- You must arrive on time with your bike in good working order (clean, safe, properly inflated tires, functional brakes/gears, and relevant accessories like cycling shoes/cleats).
- Bring any relevant information: recent training/racing history, pain/discomfort details, injury history, flexibility limitations, previous fits, or triathlon-specific goals (e.g., Ironman vs. sprint distances).
- Disclose any medical conditions, injuries, or special needs that may affect the fitting process. We may require written clearance from a doctor if needed.
- You are responsible for any bike parts or accessories recommended or installed during the session (costs extra).
- Follow any post-fit care instructions (e.g., gradual adaptation to changes over several rides) to minimize risks of discomfort or injury.
5. Liability and Disclaimer
- Bike fitting involves physical assessments and on-bike testing. While we take every reasonable precaution, cycling and triathlon training/racing carry inherent risks.
- Arvada Triathlon Company accepts no liability for any injury, discomfort, damage to you, your bike, or third parties arising from or after the fitting service, including but not limited to accidents during or after riding with the adjusted setup.
- We are not medical professionals; the service is not a substitute for medical advice, physiotherapy, or treatment. If you have ongoing pain or injury, consult a qualified healthcare provider.
- We are not responsible for any issues arising from parts you supply or from failure to follow our recommendations.
